What are the benefits of a business incubation association? 

VBIA’s goal is to bring together as many of the elements of the business incubation support network and provide a forum that advances the successful implementation of Virginia’s business incubation process.  To that end, the Association:

• Provides greater public awareness of the economic benefits of business incubation.  VBIA seeks to involve incubation professionals, sponsors, clients and graduates in an on-going education/marketing campaign to provide information and awareness of incubation programs across the Commonwealth.
   
• Produces a clearer and more influential “voice” about business incubation to local, regional and state policy makers. 
  VBIA’s membership offers insight and shares experiences on business incubation that can be easily accessed and consolidated to provide recommendations and funding advice to policy makers.
   
•  Offers advice and technical assistance to those interested in business incubation.  VBIA makes available formal and informal learning opportunities for organizations actively fostering business incubation.  These organizations include non-profits, federal, state and local agencies and organizations, private sector professionals, and educational intuitions.

VBIA membership runs from July 1 to June 30.   The membership is not transferable.
